It is currently based on the actual amounts spent across the period from 2018/19 to 2022/23 inclusive and reported in cash prices. The figures can be examined from a national perspective, or at health board level. You can also compare data with up to four other areas.

Policy context
The Welsh Government has been developing an All-Age Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy to cover 2024-2034 and investment into mental health services will be integral to the achievement of its goals.
Notes: We have standardised the figures to take account of different population sizes in the various health boards.
